Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State are the only rosters rated higher than Texas A&M. Texas A&M has 10 five-star players on its roster, 46 four-stars and 25 three-stars. The average Texas A&M player graded out at 91.79 when he signed with the Aggies. The Texas A&M roster has a cumulative score of 946.88.
Miami has two five-star players, 44 four-stars and 35 three-stars. The average Miami player graded out at 89.65. Miami has a cumulative score of 855.99. Clemson and Texas A&M are the only 2022 Miami football opponents with higher-rated rosters. Clemson has 12 five-star players 39 four-star and 29 three-stars.
The highest-rated players on Texas A&M are freshmen defensive linemen Walter Nolen and Shermar Stewart. Nolen has three tackles this season, Stewart one tackle, a 0.5 tackle for loss and 0.5 sacks. Texas A&M beat out Miami for Stewart who is a Monsignor Pace alum. The top five players for Texas A&M were 2022 signees.
Texas A&M signed the highest-rated class ever in 2022. In addition to Nolen and Stewart, the other three are wide receiver Evan Stewart and DL LT Overton and Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy. Eight of the 10 five-star players on the Texas A&M roster were 2022 signees. Two freshmen have slightly made the biggest impact.
Cornerback Denver Harris has five tackles for Texas A&M this season and wide receiver Chris Marshall has four receptions for 41 yards. A lot has been made of the 2022 Texas A&M class. The freshmen played well for Texas A&M in their season-opening 31-0 win over FCS Sam Houston State.

The Miami football roster has better balance. Defensive tackle Leonard Taylor and safety James Williams are the Miami five-star players as sophomores.
Miami is mostly playing and relying on an upper-class roster early in the season. Edge rusher Nyjalik Kelly, offensive lineman Anez Cooper and linebacker Wesley Bissainthe are Miami freshmen to watch who could earn more playing time throughout the season. For now, those three are part of the rotation.
Saturday night will also be an important game for recruits. Several 2023 recruits who both programs are interested. With Mario Cristobal now the head coach for Miami, the Hurricanes should be able to compete for recruits with Texas A&M. Particularly when Jimbo Fisher recruits in South Florida for the Aggies.
