The Miami football team will face three players from South Florida when they travel to College Station when they play Texas A&M on Saturday night. Defensive linemen Shemar Stewart, defensive back Brian George, running back Amari Daniels and wide receiver Yulkeith Brown are Aggies from South Florida.

Brown and Daniels are sophomores, George a senior and Stewart a Freshman. None of the four have made big impacts this season. Brown has four receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown, Daniels one carry for one yard, George one tackle and Stewart one tackle, 0.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks.

Brown, Daniels, George and Stewart are backups. George was a four-star 2020 junior college signee with Texas A&M. Brown and Daniels were four-star signees out of Miami Central in 2021. Stewart signed with Texas A&M in 2022 from Monsignor Pace. Miami freshmen linebacker Wesley Bissainthe is also from Miami Central.

Brown, Daniels and Stewart project to be key contributors to Texas A&M in their careers. Daniels had 20 carries for 119 yards and a TD as a true freshman in 2021. Brown had two carries for 52 yards and one kickoff return for 21 yards without a reception in 2021. Brown was listed as an athlete by 247 Sports out of high school.

Texas A&M is likely to use Brown how Miami is using sophomore wide receiver,

Brashard Smith

. Smith has 14 receptions for 199 yards and a TD and six carries for 23 yards. Smith could be a key factor for Miami at Texas A&M. The Miami football team that has not produced many big plays in 2022 will need them at Texas A&M.

Brown only has one reception of longer than 15 and 25 yards this season. Senior Ainias Smith is ahead of Brown on the Texas A&M depth chart. Smith is the Texas A&M co-leader with 10 receptions and leads the team with 185 receiving yards and two TDs. Daniels is behind junior Devon Achane at RB.

Achane has 28 carries for 108 yards and two TDs and two receptions for 14 yards through the first two weeks. Achane also has three kickoff returns for 144 yards including a 95-yard TD versus Appalachian State last week. Stewart had 18 snaps in his college debut versus Appalachian State last week.

In the small sample size, Stewart flashed why he was one of the most sought-after 2022 FL and the potential to be a dominant player. According to Aggie Scoop, Stewart received a 78 grade from Pro Football Focus. Expect Brown, Daniels, George and Stewart to be motivated to play against Miami on Saturday night.
