Miami football at Texas AM: Game, live stream and injury information
The Miami football team will play its first road game of the 2022 season at Texas A&M on Saturday night. Miami at Texas A&M is the marquee game of week three. The Aggies and Hurricanes game will be broadcast by the lead ESPN crew of Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Holly Rowe.
ESPN NFL Draft guru Todd McShay will also be part of the broadcast on Saturday night. Miami is attempting to defeat an SEC team for the first time since 2013. The Miami football team has not defeated a Power Five team in a non-conference game since their win over Notre Dame in 2017. Miami has struggled in big games.
Miami has not won a non-conference game on the road versus a Power Five team since a 41-23 win at Texas A&M. Miami should have the advantage at quarterback. Max Johnson will make his first start for Texas A&M after transferring from LSU during the offseason. Miami is mostly getting healthier. Offensive tackle Zion Nelson and running back Jaylan Knighton are expected to be completely healthy and ready to play. Wide receiver Xavier Restrepo is out indefinitely with an unspecified foot injury. Miami also gets WR Jacolby George and safety Jalen Harrell back off two-game suspensions.

The Miami football team won 41-23 in 2008 in its only previous appearance in College Station. That was the second of a home-and-home between Miami and Texas A&M that the Hurricanes swept. Texas A&M won the first meeting 70-14 in 1944. Miami won the only other meeting 34-17 in 2008. Both those games were in Miami.
The game on Saturday night had a lot of implications in front of a national audience. Miami is trying to make a statement in its first marquee game of the Cristobal era. Texas A&M is trying to rebound from a surprising loss to Appalachian State last week. Saturday night could also have implications for recruiting.
