Miami football at Virginia: Week 7 Game, live stream and injury information

The Miami football team plays its first 2022 ACC road game at Virginia Tech on Saturday. Miami and Virginia Tech both currently have three-game losing streaks. The Hurricanes have lost by a cumulative 25 points during its three-game losing streak. Virginia Tech has lost its three games by a cumulative 70 points.

Miami has won four of the last five games against Virginia Tech. The Hurricanes are hoping to avoid a third straight outright loss as a favorite. Miami is favored by seven points with the game having an over/under of 47.5 points per Fan Duel. The Hurricanes need to be focused and not underestimate the Hokies.

A few Miami football players stated after the loss to Middle Tennessee State the Hurricanes took the Blue Raiders lightly. After losing to North Carolina last week every game for Miami is important for the rest of the season for a chance to win the ACC Coastal division. Virginia Tech enters Saturday 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the ACC.

Virginia Tech is in the bottom four teams in the ACC in the four major offensive categories. Miami needs to play its first complete game of the season versus an FBS opponent. The defense played well in wins over Southern Mississippi and Texas A&M and the offense had its best game against North Carolina last week.

The Miami football team suffered some injuries last week that caused players to miss the remaider of the game versus North Carolina. Clark and Stevenson being off the injured list should be a huge boost for Miami. Logan Sagapolu is expected to start if Nelson and Oluwaseun are out. Strong is the biggest injury for Virginia Tech if he doesn’t play. Virginia Tech has depth at CB, but Strong is a starter when he is healthy. Stephen Gosnell has nine receptions for 124 yards this season. The other players on the Virginia Tech injury list have not made an impact for the Hokies.
