Duke at Miami football: Week eight odds

The Miami football team is an 8.5-point favorite over Duke in the early lines for the game on Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium per Fan Duel. Miami ended a three-game losing streak with a win at Virginia Tech on Saturday but failed to cover the point spread for the fifth straight game this season.

Duke lost 38-35 to North Carolina on a touchdown with 16 seconds remaining on Saturday. The Blue Devils covered as a seven-point underdog versus North Carolina. The game could be decided by how well the Miami football team defends the Duke run. Duke is 24th nationally averaging 205.86 rushing yards per game. Miami is 12th nationally allowing 96.5 rushing yards per game. This will be the key matchup with two of the biggest strengths for each team directly matching up.
