Duke at Miami football: Week 8 Game, live stream and injury information

The Miami football team will host Duke on Saturday. Miami won 20-14 at Virginia Tech last week. Miami ended a three-game losing streak with the win over Virginia Tech. The Hurricanes are a 9.5-point favorite over the Blue Devils with the total set at 58.5 per Fan Duel. Miami has not covered the spread versus a 2022 FBS opponent.

Duke enters the game on Saturday with a 4-3 record, losses in two consecutive games and three of its last four. Miami is projected with a 75.4 percent chance to defeat Duke. Miami was also projected with a better than 50 percent chance ahead of losses to Texas A&M, Middle Tennessee State and North Carolina per ESPN.

The matchup to watch on Saturday is the Duke rushing offense versus the Miami defense. Both of those units are ranked in the top 25 nationally. Expect Miami to rely on the pass when they are on offense. Miami improved running last week at Virginia Tech with 28 carries for 107 yards. Tyler Van Dyke remains hot.

Van Dyke has thrown for 847 yards, five TDs and one interception in the last two games. Miami and Van Dyke will compete against the 99th-ranked Duke pass defense. Expect wide receiver Colbie Young to continue to be Van Dyke’s most frequent target. Young had nine receptions for 101 yards and a TD last week.

The Miami football team enters the game on Saturday enters the game versus Duke hoping to get multiple starters back. Center Jakai Clark, cornerback Tyrique Stevenson and running back Henry Parrish all missed the game versus Virginia Tech. Tight end Will Mallory left in the second quarter with head and shoulder injuries.

Expect Oluwaseun to be out Saturday. Parrish seems on track to return. Mallory and Stevenson being left off the injury report are good omens for the Miami football team. Injuries, particularly at RB and WR have hindered the Miami depth all season. Frank Ladson and Colbie Young have emerged with the WR injuries.
