The Hurricanes and Cavaliers have both been inconsistent offensively this season. Miami is 67th nationally averaging 29.3 points per game. Virginia is 123rd at 17.6 PPG. The last four Miami-Virginia games have been one score. Miami and Virginia have split their last four games with the last three being in Miami.

The Cavaliers and Hurricanes and have not played in Charlottesville since 2018 due to the game being rescheduled in 2020 because of covid. Miami has not won in Charlottesville since a 34-14 victory in 2016. Virginia won 30-28 in 2021 at Miami when Andres Borregales’ possible game-winning field goal attempt hit the upright.

Miami should have an advantage in a close game with Borreagales. Virginia has struggled with Brendan Farrell and WIll Bettridge combining to make seven of 13 field goal attempts this season. Borregales is 10 for 13. The bigger problem for Miami has been drives stalling in the red zone without scoring touchdowns.
