Miami football at Clemson: Week 11: Game, live stream and injury information

The Miami football team travels to Clemson on Saturday with the opportunity to pull a big upset and become bowl eligible. Miami needs one win in its last two games to qualify to play in a bowl game. Clemson is 9-1, ranked ninth in the College Football Playoff rankings and needs a win to keep its hopes alive.

The Tigers have outscored the Hurricanes 138-20 the last three times they have played. This is the second time in the last three years that Miami will play at Clemson. Miami has not hosted Clemson since 2015. The Miami football team is 3-0 on the road in the ACC in 2022 and Clemson has a 39-game home-field winning streak.

Miami last won a game at Clemson, 30-21 in 2010. The Tigers defeated the Hurricanes 42-17 in 2020 the only other time they have played in the Palmetto state in the last 12 seasons. Miami enters Saturday off of a 35-14 win at Georgia Tech. Clemson clinched the Atlantic Division title with a 31-16 win over Louisville last week.

The game against Clemson should be the biggest test for the Miami football team this season. Road wins over Virginia, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech showed that Miami can play well away from home this season but were against three of the worst teams in the ACC. Notre Dame gave somewhat of a blueprint on how to defeat Clemson.

The Miami football team has had a lot of attrition this season due to injuries. This week, defensive back Gilbert Frierson and running back Thad Franklin announced their intention to enter the transfer portal. Jaylan Knighton could be the only healthy scholarship RB against Clemson depending on Don Chaney Jr. and Henry Parrish.

Leading tackling Trenton Simpson would be a big loss for Clemson after not playing last week. Wide receiver Beaux Collins leads Clemson with five TD receptions and also missed the Clemson win over Louisville last week. Simpson is backed up by junior LaVonta Bentley and Collins is not listed on the Clemson depth chart.
