Auburn and Florida State received official visits from Bain in June. With his proximity to Coral Gables Bain has taken nine unofficial visits with the Miami football program.

Miami has commitments from 2023 four-star edge rushers Collins Acheampong and Jayden Wayne and three-star defensive tackle Joshua Horton. The Hurricanes have lost four DL to the transfer portal, three of whom were tackles. Miami also loses senior DL Mitchell Agude and Antonio Moultrie.

Miami has been trending for Bain throughout his commitment. Auburn and Florida State have reportedly been closing late. Florida State is reportedly the biggest obstacle to Miami signing Bain. The 2023 recruiting classes will change frequently with two weeks remaining until the early national signing period commences. If Bain was currently in the 2023 Miami class, the Hurricanes would be fifth nationally. Miami is challenging to finish with a top-five recruiting class. Bain would be a huge commitment.
