North Carolina State at Miami basketball: Game 11 info, live stream, odds, TV

The Miami basketball team will play its ACC home opener when it hosts North Carolina State on Saturday afternoon. Miami enters the game with NC State on a five-game winning streak this season. North Carolina State defeated Coppin State 94-72 on Wednesday after losing its ACC opener to Pittsburgh last Friday.

Miami suffered its only loss this season to Maryland last month. North Carolina State suffered its other loss to Kansas in the first round of the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas last month. Miami won the only meeting with North Carolina State last season and has a two-game winning streak versus the Wolfpack.

That was the only meeting between Miami and North Carolina State last season. The Hurricanes and Wolfpack will play twice this season with the return game in Raleigh next month. Coming off of a 107-105 win over Cornell, Miami faces another high-scoring team versus North Carolina State.

Miami enters Saturday’s game averaging 77.7 points per game and NC State 81.8. Isaiah Wong scored a career-high 36 points in the win over Cornell. Wong has averaged 21.5 points per game in the last two versus NC State. Jordan Miller scored 25 in the 91-83 Miami win over NC State in January.

North Carolina State is led by guards Terquavion Smith (17.7 points per game), Jarkel Joiner (16.8 PPG) and Casey Morell (13.5 PPG). Miami counters with Miller, Nijel Pack and Wong in what should be a fun matchup to watch on the perimeter. The ESPN College Basketball Index projects Miami with a 71 percent chance to win.

Miami has to take care of games at home. The game versus North Carolina State is the second of five straight home games. The ESPN BPI projects Miami as the favorite throughout the entire homestand. Miami is not projected to lose by the BPI until their next road game on December 30 at Notre Dame.

Miami will be off for a week before returning to non-conference play next Saturday when they host St. Francis-Pennsylvania at noon. The Red Flash have started the season 3-7. Miami should be able to continue padding their resume this month before beginning ACC play full with the game at Notre Dame.
