The Miami basketball team returns to the Watsco Center on Saturday after being off for a week. Miami will host St. Francis-Pennsylvania. The Hurricanes have a six-game winning streak following an 80-73 win over North Carolina State last week. St. Francis has lost four of its last five games and is 3-8 overall.

Miami earned the 25th ranking nationally following the win over North Carolina State, their first in the top 25 since 2018 and guard Isaiah Wong was named the National Player of the Week via several outlets. Wong scored a career-high 36 points in a 107-105 win versus Cornell prior to tine victory over North Carolina State.

Wong scored 58 points on 19-30 from the floor, made seven of his 12 three-point attempts, 13-14 from the free throw line, had 12 rebounds, 13 assists and had one steal with just one turnover in the two games last week. Miami post Norchad Omier will be tested by St. Francis 6’10 center Josh Cohen.

Cohen is averaging 21.4 points per game, 7.7 rebounds, shoots 64.8 percent from the floor and 72.9 percent from the line. The 6’7 Omier should have an advantage against Cohen in quickness. Guards Maxwell Land and Landon Moore are the only other players for the Red Flash who averaged in double figures.
