With the Early Signing Period for the 2023 class completed last week, the Miami football staff has been busy sending out 2024 offers. Offensive line coach Alex Mirabal has led the busy week for the Hurricanes with multiple recruits posting offers from Miami to Twitter. Miami signed five OL in the class of 2023.

The Hurricanes also added former Alabama OL Javion Cohen. Five-star offensive tackles Francis Mauigoa and Samson Okunlola were the highest-rated signees in the 2023 Miami class. Among the offers by Miami to OL are Ethan Calloway, Manasse Itete, John Wayne Oliver and Nathan Roy.

Calloway, Irete and Roy are consensus four-star prospects, Oliver is three stars. Calloway is the highest ranked of the four as the 190th-ranked player, ninth offensive tackle and fifth in North Carolina out of Moorseville Lake Norman High School according to the 247 Sport composite rankings.

Miami will need to continue rebuilding its OL following the 2023 season. Center Jakai Clark, left tackle Zion Nelson and guard Justice Olawaseun will all be seniors in 2023. Clark, Nelson and Olawaseun all struggled with injuries in 2022. Nelson missed the entire season with a knee injury in 2022.

Miami is an extreme longshot with Calloway, Irete, Oliver and Roy according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction machine. According to the 247 Sports recruiting database none of the 19 offensive tackles or 13 interior OL Miami has offered for 2024 are currently strongly considering the Hurricanes.

Cristobal is known as a strong closer. Its extremely early in the process in the 2024 class. Miami received the commitment from Mauigoa over the summer. Okunlola did not commit until about a week before the opening of the Early National Signing Period. Kicker Abram Murray is the only 2023 Miami commit.

The Miami OL should have a big transition as soon as next year depending on what happens with Clark, Nelson and Olawaseun. The 2022 and 2023 Miami football signees should have a chance to compete for playing time as true freshmen. Cristobal and Mirabal are two of the best OL coaches in college football.
