Miami football commits cornerbacks Cormani McClain and Robert Stafford, defensive linemen Collins Acheampong, and Rueben Bain offensive tackles Francis Mauigoa, and tight end Riley Williams are all in Orlando this week for the Under Armour All-America Game. Acheampong, Mauigoa and Williams will not play in the game.

McClain is committed to the Miami football program but did not sign a National Letter of Intent during the Early National Signing Period this month. During practice for the Under Armour game, this week in Orlando McClain has reiterated his commitment to Miami. Alabama, Colorado and Florida are reportedly still recruiting McClain.

Bain, McClain and Stafford are the only three Miami football commits who will play in the game. McClain is the second-highest-ranked player and top unsigned prospect in the 2023 class. Bain is the 70th-ranked player, 14th DL, ninth in Florida in the 2023 class and the highest-ranked defensive Miami signee.

Stafford is the 122nd-ranked player, 13th cornerback and 31st player in Florida out of Melbourne Eau Gallie High School. Bain, McClain and Stafford will all play for Team Speed. Gaby Urrutia of Inside the U reported that McClain has a shoulder injury and might not play on Tuesday.

Bain and Stafford will have a chance to showcase their skills against more highly rated-players. The production by Bain throughout his high school career and particularly as a junior and senior have exceeded the five-star players in the 2023 class. Now Bain can prove he is as good as the five-star signees on a national stage.

Stafford could be one of the most underrated players in the 2023 class. Stafford is the third highest-rated Miami defensive signee behind Bain and four-star edge rusher Jayden Wayne. After Miami lost eight defensive backs off the 2022 roster, Stafford should have a chance to compete for playing time as a true freshman.
