Nine of the 12 2022 transfers signed by the Miami football program committed to the Hurricanes after the beginning of the spring semester on January 18. Defensive lineman Jacob Lichtenstein, wide receiver Frank Ladson and running back Henry Parrish were the only 2022 transfers to commit to Miami before the semester began.

The remaining nine 2022 Miami football transfers committed to the Hurricanes between cornerback Darryl Porter Jr. at the end of February and junior college wide receiver Colbie Young in June. Miami currently has six transfers committed to the 2023 roster. Miami is far from finished adding 2023 transfers.

Miami is hosting USC transfer WR Gary Bryant and Oregon tight end Cam McCormick this weekend per Gaby Urrutia of Inside the U. Miami head coach Mario Cristobal coached in the Pac 12 during the first two seasons that Bryant was at USC and coached McCormick during his injury-plagued career at Oregon.

McCormick had two receptions for 14 yards during the four seasons Cristobal was the head coach at Oregon. McCormick missed almost the entire 2018 through 2020 seasons with injuries. The 2023 season will be the eighth in college football for McCormick. Expect Miami to continue hosting potential transfers.
