Georgia Jaheim Singletary cornerback Jaheim Singletary who entered the transfer portal on Friday was signed with the Bulldogs by current Miami defensive backs coach Jahmile Addae. Singletary was the 27th prospect, fifth CB and fifth in Florida in the Class of 2022. Singletary visited the Miami football program in July 2021.
The Georgia website credits Singletary playing versus Samford, South Carolina and in the national championship against TCU. Singletary leaves Georgia after not being able to make the two-deep depth chart. The Miami football program would add excellent length with Singletary who is listed at 6’1, 175 pounds by Georgia.
At Jacksonville Riverside High School Singletary recorded 96 tackles, three tackles for loss, 14 interceptions, 27 passes defended and two fumble recoveries in four years while contributiing on offense and special teams. Almost every Power Five program recruited Singletary out of high school.
Andrew Ivins of 247 Sports praised Singletary in his scouting report as “a larget corner that can essentially take away one side of the field…(who) does a nice job of anticipating throws and timing his breaks…but has what it takes to emerge as a potential CB1 type for a Top 25 program given long arms and instincts.”
