Miami Hurricanes News: Football staff visiting 5-star, rift with Chaminade-Madonna
The Miami Hurricanes football staff will attempt to pitch 5-star tight end Nyckoles Harbor with the traditional National Signing Day a week away. Miami will have a difficult sell without Harbor ever visiting camps per his On3 profile. Harbor is an exceptional athlete with Olympic-level talent as a sprinter.
Harbor has been recorded running a 10.3 100 meters. Homestate Maryland and Oregon are the frontrunners to sign Harbor. Oregon has an exceptional track team and hosted the IAAF World Championships last summer. Harbor is also extremely intelligent with plans to major in pre-medicine or in engineering.
Alex Donno of AllHurricanes.Com and the LockedOnCanes Podcast refuted a report from nationally renowned college football expert Mike Farrell on Tuesday that there is a “size-able (sic) rift between the coaches at Chaminade-Madonna and Miami.” Miami is trending for five-stat Chaminade Madonna receiver JoJo Trader.

The Miami men’s basketball team ended a nine-game losing streak versus Florida State on Tuesday night 86-63 in Tallahassee. Miami plays the last of three straight road games on Saturday at Pittsburgh. The Miami Hurricanes moved up from 46th to 37th in the NCAA Net Ratings following the wins versus the Seminoles.
Mississippi transfer safety Tysheem Johnson who Miami hosted on Tuesday announced his commitment to Oregon on Wednesday. Starters Kamren Kinchens and James Williams and backup Markeith Williams are the only projected scholarship safeties on the 2023 Miami roster. Brian Balom is still expected to transfer.
