The ACC released the 2023 schedules on Monday. The Miami football program already knew its 2023 non-conference schedule. Miami opens the 2023 season against Miami (Ohio) on Friday, September 1 at Hard Rock Stadium. The Hurricanes host Texas A&M on September 9 and Bethune-Cookman on September 14.

Miami plays its only non-conference road game on September 23 at Temple. The Hurricanes are off in week five before opening ACC play on October 7 versus Georgia Tech. Miami has its bye week in between the end of their non-conference portion off the schedule and beginning ACC play for the second straight season.

Miami has a chance to avenge 2022 losses to Clemson, Florida State, North Carolina and Texas A&M in 2023. Clemson and Florida State dominated Miami in 2022. Miami lost close games versus North Carolina and at Texas A&M. Clemson and Florida State will be the favorites to reach the ACC Championship Game.

The Miami football team will have two games on Friday and one on Thursday this season. Two of the first three Miami games are weekday games and the Hurricanes finish the season on Black Friday at Boston College. Playing at Boston College deep into fall the last weekend in November will be difficult for Miami.

Georgia Tech at Miami Week 6 October 7

The 35-14 win by Miami at Georgia Tech was the most complete game the Hurricanes played in 2022. Kamren Kinchens had three interceptions including a 100-yard return for a touchdown and Jacurri Brown was impressive in his first collegiate start in his home state. Miami will need a win versus Georgia Tech in 2023.

Miami football at North Carolina Week 7 October 14.

Miami enters the 2023 season with four straight losses to North Carolina. If Miami wants to challenge to be near the top of the ACC a win over the Tar Heels is critical. Three of the last four Miami losses to North Carolina were only by three points each. Expect another shootout between Drake Maye and Tyler Van Dyke.

Clemson at Miami Week 8 October 21

The woes of the Miami football team against Clemson since 2015 are well documented. Miami will have another opportunity to measure itself against the preeminent program in the ACC. Playing North Carolina and Clemson back-to-back is a challenge for Miami. We will find out a lot about the Hurricanes versus the Tigers.

Virginia at Miami Week 9 October 28

The 2023 Miami-Virginia game was painful to watch with the Hurricanes winning 14-12 in four overtimes. Hopefully, at Hard Rock Stadium they can produce a more entertaining game in 2022. Virginia is a team in transition like Miami finishing 3-7 in 2022 after canceling the final two games of the season.

Miami at North Carolina State Week 10 November 4

Miami and North Carolina State played thrillers in 2020 and ’21 with the Hurricanes winning by a combined four points. Miami also played a tight game with Virginia in 2021. Former Virginia quarterback Brennan Armstrong transferred to NC State during the offseason. Armstong and Tyler Van Dyke should be a good matchup.

Miami at Florida State Week 10 November 11

After winning four straight games versus Florida State Miami will seek to reverse losses the last two years. Two of the last three games have been blowouts with each team winning one. Miami should be motivated after being embarrassed at Hard Rock Stadium last year. This will be a key game in the ACC race to Charlotte.

Louisville at Miami Week 11 November 18

Miami and Louisville have had some memorable games. The Hurricanes have scored 99 combined points in the last two meetings with the Cardinals, both Miami wins. Miami and Louisville have a rivalry that will grow with the 2023 game the first of their annual meetings. This should be a key late game for both teams.

Miami at Boston College Week 12 November 24

Boston College is the fifth most common opponent for Miami. The Hurricanes have dominated the Eagles winning 24 of the 30 times they have played. Boston College has won three of the last four games versus Miami dating to 2007. The Eagles earned a 27-14 win over the Hurricanes when they last played in 2018.
