The Miami basketball team will attempt its first-season sweep of Florida State since 2016 when they host the Seminoles on Saturday afternoon at the Watsco Center. The win by Miami last month over Florida State ended a nine-game losing streak to the Seminoles. Miami enters Saturday in first place in the ACC. A loss by Virginia at Boston College on Wednesday dropped the Cavaliers to 13-4 in the ACC. After its win at Virginia Tech on Tuesday Miami improved to 14-4 in the ACC.
Miami has two conference games remaining. The Hurricanes control their own destiny. Wins over Florida State on Saturday and Pittsburgh on March 4 will earn Miami at least a share of the ACC regular season title and the number one seed in the ACC Tournament. Pittsburgh is currently tied with Virginia at 13-4.
