The Miami basketball team has opened as a 6.5-point underdog in its Midwest Regional Semifinal game on Friday night at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. Houston is the number one seed in the Midwest Region. The Cougars and Hurricanes both lost in the 2022 NCAA Tournament regional finals.

Miami was eliminated from the 2022 NCAA Tournament by Kansas. Houston lost to Villanova in the 2022 NCAA Tournament. Houston enters the game on Friday with a 33-3 record. The Cougars were ranked first in the final regular season USA Today Coaches Poll and second behind Alabama in the AP Top 25.
