Where Miami football ranks in 2023 national championship betting odds

The Miami football program ranks 27th in the 2023-24 national championship odds at Fan Duel at 20,000 to one. Georgia is a significant favorite at 220 to one with Alabama second at 500 to one. Florida State leads ACC teams with 1,800 to one odds to win the national championship that is sixth nationally.

Clemson is eighth nationally at 2000 to one. North Carolina at 10,000 to one is the only other ACC team ranked ahead of Miami. Louisville is also listed a 20,000 to one. Texas A&M which Miami hosts week two on September 9 is tied for 15th with Oklahoma and Utah at 6,000 to one to win the national championship.

Other teams on the 2023 Miami football schedule are in order North Carolina State at 25,000 to one, Georgia Tech at 40,000 to one, Boston College and Virginia at 50,000 to one and Miami (Ohio) and Temple at 100,000 to one. Based on the odds Miami is expected to be better than seven of its 2023 opponents and worse than four.

Louisville is the sole team Miami is even with based on the odds and Football Championship Subdivision opponent Bethune-Cookman travels to Hard Rock Stadium on September 14 who is not ranked. Clemson and Texas A&M travel to Hard Rock Stadium and Miami plays at Florida State and North Carolina this season.

Clemson, Florida State and North Carolina should begin the season in the top 25. Texas A&M finished the 2022 season 5-7 like Miami. The Hurricanes and Aggies playing in week two will be a critical early season non-conference game for both teams to measure where they are versus last season.

Miami outgained Texas A&M 392 to 264 in a 17-9 loss in College Station last season. The Hurricanes settled for three field goals in four red zone trips versus Texas A&M last season and did not score in their trip inside the Aggies’ 20. Miami will open the season hosting Miami (Ohio) on Friday, September 1.
