Miami football trending for 3-star 2024 QB Judd Anderson
The Miami football program is trending for Gray, Georgia, Jones County three-star quarterback Judd Anderson. Crystal balls from 247 Sports Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong and Gaby Urrutia have been logged this week for Anderson to Miami. Miami has a 94.3 percent chance for an Anderson commitment.
The 247 Sports composite rankings have Anderson as the 1,013th prospect, 61st QB and 87th in Georgia in the 2024 class. Kicker Abram Murray is the only 2024 Miami commit. Miami was trending earlier for four-star QB Air Noland. Ohio State is expected to receive a commitment from Noland on Saturday.
Miami needs to add depth at QB to the 2024 roster. Tyler Van Dyke is expected to leave for the NFL following the 2023 season. Sophomore Jacurri Brown and true freshman Emory Williams are the only other QBs on the roster entering the 2023 season. Miami could add a transfer QB for 2023 or 2024.
Anderson completed 56.5 percent of his passes for 1,776 yards, 15 touchdowns and 13 interceptions last season as the primary QB for a 6-5 Jones County team. The 247 Sports database lists the Miami football program with offers to 23 2024 QBs and nine of them are uncommitted.

At 6’6, 210 pounds, Anderson has excellent size and as a high school basketball player, the athleticism needed at QB in this era. Anderson averaged 9.3 points per game and 3.5 rebounds last season. Anderson is taking an unofficial visit to the Miami football program this weekend per 247 Sports.
Per his On3 profile, Anderson has also taken unofficial visits with eight other programs, all Power Five. Miami trending for Anderson has happened quickly after the Hurricanes offered him a scholarship on March 3. Anderson has seven scholarship offers thus far per his 247 Sports profile.
Hiring new offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson is expected to help attract offensive players. Expect Miami to have a far more open and explosive offense in the modified air raid under Dawson. Miami should improve offensively in 2023 after regressing significantly last season.
