The Miami Hurricanes women’s basketball team received a commitment from Arizona transfer Lemyah Hylton and the football team earned a pledge from 2024 defensive back Dylan Day on Sunday. Miami DB Tyrique Stevenson is receiving praise from multiple national experts before the 2023 NFL Draft beginning Thursday.

Hylton was the 86th-ranked player in the 2022 class and the top international when she signed with Arizona. With a deep Wildcats backcourt last season Hylton averaged only 8.1 minutes in 15 games. The addition of Hylton provides the Miami Hurricanes women’s basketball program with needed depth for the 2023-24 season.

Day is a rising prospect who is the 22nd-ranked safety and 72nd player in Louisiana in the 2024 class. Miami needed to add depth in the secondary after losing eight defensive backs who transferred plus D.J. Ivey and Stevenson to the NFL Draft following the 2023 season. Stevenson’s stock is rising in the NFL Draft.

Pro Football Focus and Senior Bowl Director Jim Nagy have both praised Stevenson as being underrated. PFF listed Stevenson as one of their seven players who could be a surprise first-round pick in the NFL Draft on Thursday. Stevenson is currently rated 46th on the PFF Top 150 Big Board.

The excellent performance by Stevenson at the Senior Bowl has increased his draft stock. Nagy agrees with the PFF ranking of Stevenson at 46 with the possible projection of the former Miami DB being potentially selected in the top 50. Stevenson would have to move up significantly to make it into the first round.

After commitments from Day and four-star wide receiver Chance Robinson over the weekend, Miami is trending for multiple players after a big weekend hosting prospects for the spring game. Miami is emerging for four-star defensive lineman T.A. Cunningham per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Robinson is the only one of the four 2024 Miami commits that is a blue-chip prospect. A commitment from Cunningham would be huge for momentum in the 2024 Miami class. Miami has a  76.1 percent chance for a Cunningham commitment per On3. No 247 Sports crystal balls have been logged for Cunningham.
