Also on Tuesday Jim Larranaga and Isaiah Wong met with the media following the Hurricane star’s declaration for the NBA Draft.

Minaya is the first OL and sixth commitment overall in the 2024 Miami recruiting class. The Hurricanes have received five 2024 commitments this month. Minaya is listed by On3 as the 815th prospect, 60th offensive tackle and 16th recruit in New Jersey in the 2024 Class.

The Miami baseball team took a 10-0 lead after five innings and held on for the 12-6 win over Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday night. Miami improved to 23-13 overall with the win. Five Miami players finished the game with two hits. Ben Chestnutt pitched 5.1 innings allowing one earned run for the win.

Larranaga spoke about the impact of the transfer portal. He expects starters Norchad Omier, Nijel Pack and Wooga Poplar to return. With the unpredictability of the transfer portal, Larranaga stated that anything is possible. Miami will ideally bring in two transfers to replace Jordan Miller and Wong.
