Nine of the 2023 signees with the Miami football program will enroll this summer. Despite missing spring practice, several of the incoming freshmen should have big impacts with the Hurricanes during the 2023 season. Six of the nine 2023 signees who are yet to enroll are four-star prospects.

Running backs Mark Fletcher and Christopher Johnson and offensive linemen Tommy Kinsler and Frankie Tinilau are the 2023 Miami offensive signees who have yet to enroll. On defense, cornerbacks Damari Brown and Robert Stafford, defensive tackle Joshua Horton and linebackers Raul Aguirre and Marcellius Pulliam are late enrollees.

Fletcher could be the 2023 Miami enrollee who did not participate this spring with the biggest opportunity to make an impact. Henry Parrish is the only RB returning for Miami in 2023 that was healthy last season. Don Chaney Jr. returns after missing most of the 2022 season and is reportedly healthy.

Tre’Vonte Citizen who missed all of his true freshman season in 2022 and Johnson are the only other scholarship RBs on the Miami roster. Fletcher ran for 1,934 yards and 23 touchdowns as a senior in high school in 2022. At 6’2 and 230 pounds, Fletcher should challenge for significant snaps as a freshman in 2023.

Aguirre and Brown could have opportunities to contribute as true freshmen. Aguirre joins a Miami LB corps that is not very deep. There was not a lot of separation at cornerback this spring. Brown will have a chance to arrive this summer and make an impact during training camp in August.

Horton adds good size at 6’4 and 285 pounds. As a senior at Langston Hughes in Fairburn, Georgia Horton recorded 123 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and four sacks. Horton provides Miami with depth at DT. Kinsler, Tinilau and Pulliam were all three-star signees and project as likely redshirts during their true freshmen seasons.

The 2023 Miami class ranks seventh overall in the 247 Sports Composite rankings. Expect the Miami football program to continue adding players to the 2023 roster through the transfer portal. Several new transfers that are brought in this spring could also make an impact for Miami during the 2023 season.
