No. 1 Miami football NFL career in league history: Ray Lewis

1996 NFL Draft: Round 1, Pick 26

Baltimore Ravens, 1996–2012

There is not a badder man in NFL history than Ray Lewis. No one had the intimidation factor Lewis did, and few were as physically imposing and freakishly athletic as the Bartow, Florida native — and as a bonus, Lewis seemed to enjoy bringing the pain to opposing quarterbacks, receivers, tight ends, and running backs.

Lewis was the defensive leader for two different Super Bowl championship squads in Baltimore, and from the moment he stepped into the NFL to the very last snap he played, the 2× NFL Defensive Player of the Year was a difference-maker on the field.

It is natural for most minds to jump to Lewis when thinking about the Ravens franchise, and while he never won a national championship at Miami, he still represents the greatest Hurricane to ever play in the NFL.

And it might not even be close.
