No. 13 Miami football NFL career in league history: Vince Wilfork

2004 NFL Draft: Round 1, Pick 21

New England Patriots, 2004–2014
Houston Texans, 2015–2016

Vince Wilfork has some of the most memorable moments in the history of fumble recoveries in the NFL. The absolute unit of a man weighed in at 325 pounds but still was able to fend off Jericho Cotchery on what would be a 31-yard fumble recovery against the New York Jets in 2006. Wilfork even had two interceptions over the span of a few weeks during the 2011 season. There was very little Wilfork wasn’t athletically capable of as a giant.

Wilfork’s 13-year career was spent in New England leading the defensive trenches for a Patriots dynasty Tom Brady led the charge for offensively. He only ended up with two Super Bowl victories, but as a 4x All-Pro and 2012 First-team All-Pro, Wilfork certainly had the accolades to avoid being overshadowed by the quarterbacking G.O.A.T.

In fact, it’s nearly impossible to forget what Wilfork brought to the game as a purveyor of pain who would also serve as a part-time playmaker on occasion. The former Hurricane DL is in the New England Patriots’ Hall of Fame.
