Four-star 2024 wide receiver Amari Jefferson named the Miami Hurricanes football program as one of the top six teams in his recruitment. National Championship head coach Larry Coker and defensive tackle Jerome Brown, linebacker Darrin Smith and quarterback Ken Dorsey are College Football Hall of Fame Finalists.

Jefferson named  Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Tennessee are his finalists. On3 quoted Jefferson saying that his visit to Coral Gables was special. Jefferson said knew Miami would be in his top six after meeting with head coach Mario Cristobal and wide receivers coach, coach Kevin Beard.

The National Football Foundation released the list of finalists for the College Football Hall of Fame on Monday. Coaches must have a .600 winning percentage and on.y players who were named first-team All-Americans will be considered for the College Football Hall of Fame. Miami has 12 former players and coaches in the CFB HOF.

Twitter account Happy Valley Recruiting which covers Penn State observed last week that the Miami Hurricanes and Nittany Lions share multiple recruiting targets. Among the names on the list are Miami WR commit Chase Robinson and recent Penn State commit offensive lineman Deryc Plazz.

Defensive tackle Leonard Taylor, safety Kamren Kinchens and offensive lineman Zion Nelson are all projected to be selected in the first round in the 247 Sports 2024 NFL Mock Draft. Taylor is projected 22nd to the Minnesota Vikings, Kinchens 27th to the San Francisco 49ers and Nelson 30th to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Multiple Miami recruiting sites reported that junior college defensive back Demetrius Freeney is expected to make a decision by the end of this week. Gaby Urritia of Inside the U tweeted that after taking an official visit with the Miami Hurricanes Freeney was expected to take one more official visit before making his decision.
