Five-star prospects, CB Ellis Robinson IV, edge rushers Colin Simmons and Dylan Stewart and DL David Stone lead 14 players who are officially visiting the Miami football program this weekend. There has been a lot of analysis from recruiting sites this week that this weekend could change the trajectory for Miami.

Three-star linebackers Keyshawn Flowers and Cam Pruitt are the only visitors Miami is leading for this weekend per On3. Robinson is the only official visitor this weekend that is committed to another program. Georgia received a commitment from Robinson in February. Miami has yet to receive a CB commitment for 2024.

Defensive lineman Aydin Breland, L.J. McCray, T.J. Lindsay, running back Jerrick Gibson, wide receiver Braylon Staley, tight end Elijah Lofton, offensive tackle Tye Hylton and CB Sione Laulea are the other prospects taking their official visits with the Miami football program this weekend.

The 14 official visitors this weekend compared to five the weekend of June 2, eight scheduled official visitors the weekend of June 16 and 15 June 23. Although this is the second biggest weekend by numbers it’s the most important based on who is visiting. No five-star prospects are visiting the weekend of June 23.

Mario Cristobal and his staff have made the defensive line a priority for 2024 like the offensive line was in the 2023 class. If Miami can sign one of the five-star DL linemen visiting this weekend, the Hurricanes would have a foundation set in the 2024 class and future rosters. Miami currently has the 28th-ranked 2024 class.

Four-star WR Chance Robinson is the only blue-chip commit in the 2024 Miami class. Expect this weekend and June in general to yield some commitments. Miami set the foundation of its 2023 class with players who eventually signed after visiting Coral Gables in June. That should continue in the 2024 class.

Miami will host six 2024 commits next weekend that includes Chance Robinson. This weekend is more critical to gaining new commits to the 2024 Miami recruiting class. Most of the official visitors this weekend have been to Coral Gables multiple times. Getting the prospects in together at the same time could be beneficial.
