The Miami Hurricanes football program hosted Legends Camp on Thursday. Legends Camp was previously known as Paradise Camp. Legends Camp preceded a big weekend of official visitors ahead for the Miami football program. Miami basketball legends Jordan Miller and Isaiah Wong were selected in the NBA Draft.

Mark Richt began Paradise Camp in the summer of 2016 and it continued under Manny Diaz. An extensive group of alumni spoke at Legends Camp and 350 prospects reportedly attended. Several of those prospects will be among the 20 recruits taking official visits with the Miami Hurricanes this weekend.

David Wilson of the Miami Herald highlighted the speakers at Legends Camp that included Andre Johnson, Duke Johnson, Gino Torretta, Brandon Meriweather, Alonzo Highsmith, Jon Beason, and Bryant McKinnie. Highsmith said of the alums who attended Legends Camp Their presence here is a big part of why this program is what it is,”

There were several reports that five-star defensive lineman Kamarion Franklin worked out with Miami defensive line coach Jason Taylor at Legends Camp. Miami is making a push for Franklin. Tennessee is leading for a Franklin commitment per On3. Franklin canceled an official visit to LSU to specifically work with Taylor.

Miller was the first Miami Hurricanes basketball player off the board in the 2023 NBA Draft. The Los Angeles Clippers selected Miller 48th overall in the second round. Wong was selected 55th overall by the Indiana Pacers. Miller will have a chance to make a Clippers team in transition. Indiana is a young and improving team.

This is the biggest weekend hosting visitors with the aforementioned 20 prospects traveling to Coral Gables. Six of the official visitors to Miami this weekend are committed to the Miami Hurricanes, four are committed to other programs and the other 10 are uncommitted. Miami has one final push before a dead period begins.
