Four-star Miami Hurricanes DL prospect “Jayden Jackson (is) set to commit Thursday on the 247Sports YouTube Channel.” Matt Zenitz of On3 named Miami offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa to “10 ACC true freshmen positioned to be factors in 2023.” Miami is the only school with a player chosen in four major league drafts.

Jackson does not have any 247 Sports crystal balls projecting which program will earn a commitment from the IMG Academy defensive lineman. Miami is a distant third with a 2.8 percent chance for a Jackson commitment per On3. Ohio State leaders with 49.1 percent chance for a commitment. Oklahoma is second at 41.0 percent.

Zenitz projects Mauigoa as a starter on the Miami offensive line in 2023. That is in line with most reports. Miami OL coach Alex Mirabal was quoted by Zenitz stating that Mauigoa “One of his greatest gifts that he’s got is he’s got like a sixth sense. He sees things.” Fellow freshman Samson Okunlola will be a player to watch.

The Twitter account Sports in Miami stated on Wednesday morning that “Miami is the only school in @theACC that had a player chosen in each of the 2023 NFL, NBA, WNBA and MLB Drafts. With 12 Canes chosen overall, Miami also had the most players drafted in the conference (w/ Wake), and in the state (w/ UF).”

Jordan Miller and Isaiah Wong continued NBA Summer League Play on Wednesday. Miller scored seven points on 3-6 from the floor, 0-3 on three-point attempts and 1-1 from the free throw line with three assists and two steals. Wong scored 17 on 7-13 and 3-6 threes with two rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks.
