Miami Hurricanes News: QB leading 2024 class, new rivalries

Adam Lichtenstein of the Sun Sentinel profiled Quarterback Judd Anderson as “helping UM coaches build a ‘special’ recruiting class.” Anderson was the second player committed in the 2024 Miami class. The ACC Network posted a short video on the new Miami Hurricanes annual rivalries versus Boston College and Louisville.

Lichtenstein wrote, Hurricanes QB commit Judd Anderson helping UM coaches build a ‘special’ recruiting class.” Kicker Abram Murray was the only player committed to Miami when Anderson announced his pledge in April. Anderson told Lichtenstein about this year’s commits “It’s really become a special class.”

Anderson has been active on social media commenting on posts by other commitments and prospects. The commitment from five-star wide receiver JoJo Trader is one of“Those kind of guys can bring your class to a whole different level.” Anderson also said he was ready to recruit other guys as soon as he committed.

All three of the permanent Miami ACC opponents are from the recently eliminated Atlantic Division. The Miami Hurricanes lost long-time former Big East rivals Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech with the elimination of divisions. The 2024 season will be the first one Miami has not played Virginia Tech since 1991.

Colbie Young is the leader among Miami returnees at WR in receptions and receiving yards.

Pro Football Focus had two items of note involving Miami. Miami has the seventh easiest schedule using 2022 records per PFF. Eight Miami Hurricanes players were named first-team All-ACC and one is second-team. Miami had three first-team All-ACC players on offense, four on defense and kicker Andres Borregales.
