Canes County ranked four Miami Hurricanes freshmen who can have a big impact in 2023. Steve Lassan of Athlon Sports wrote about the”Ranking the ACC’s College Football Coaches for 2023.” Brian Smith of All Hurricanes examined where the top 25 players from Florida in the 2024 recruiting class will sign.

Canes County ranked wide receiver Nathaniel Joseph fourth, defensive Lineman Rueben Bain third, running back Mark Fletcher third and offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa first. Joseph can be a game-breaking WR and kick returner. Bain is an elite pass rusher, Fletcher is a big RB and Mauigoa projects as the starting right tackle.

Mario Cristobal is ranked eighth in the 2023 ACC head coaching rankings by Lassan. Four losses by 26 points or more and the 5-7 2022 record is mentioned by Lassan. The seventh-ranked 2023 recruiting class and a 35-13 record for Cristobal at Oregon portends for a positive future for the Miami Hurricanes per Lassan.

Defensive lineman Artavius Jones who is ranked 25th in Florida in the 2024 class and wide receivers Chance Robinson who is 23rd and Joshisa Trader who is fifth are the currently top 25 commits in Florida to the Miami football program. Smith also profiled where the top 25 uncommitted prospects are trending in Florida.

Josh Pate of 247 Sports asked “How good is Miami ” during his show on Friday. The three biggest takes from Pate were the expectations for quarterback Tyler Van Dyke and offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson and a projection that tight end Elijah Arroyo will be the breakout player for Miami in 2023.

David Lake of Inside the U wrote about “Six Storylines Going into ACC Media Days.” ACC Kickoff is from Tuesday through Thursday in Charlotte. Miami will meet the media on Tuesday. The only Hurricanes-centric storyline that Lake projected is Will the off-season overhaul lead to results for Miami?”
