Miami Hurricanes Athletic Director Dan Radakovic spoke to ESPN in an article published on Monday discussing How the rest of the ACC is reacting to Florida State’s unhappiness.Radakovic stated the need to try to make the conference as strong as can be. Four Miami players spoke after practice on Tuesday.

Radakovich discussed that Florida State is doing what they feel they need to do. The grant of rights that runs through 2036 is one aspect that Radakovich believes is the best course of action in keeping the ACC together. The ACC is the last of the Power Conferences not impacted in the latest round of realignment.

Per Cabrera Chirinos, Bissainthe discussed how the early practices have gone, on if the game has slowed down for him entering his sophomore season, learning the new Miami defense, the freshmen linebackers and being reunited with freshman defensive lineman Rueben Bain his former Miami Central teammate.

Cloyd discussed the LB competition, the culture at Miami after transferring from Louisville, the anticipation of practicing at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday, his impression of the running backs and what he likes about the Miami defense. Cloyd will compete for playing time primarily with Bissainthe.

Flagg spoke about the evolution of the LBs, if the LB competition is pushing him personally, on what has improved the LB competition and the play of Bissainthe. Flagg is the most experienced Miiami LB with 21 starts in 31 career games over the last three seasons. Flagg will primarily back up Mauigoa in 2023.

Mauigoa discussed his relationship with Flagg, the LB competition, his anticipation of the Saturday practice at Hard Rock Stadium and what he sees from the freshmen LBs. Mauigoa transferred to Miami from Washington State after a breakout season with the Cougars during their 2022 season.
