The Miami football program has a huge test on Saturday when they host Texas A&M. Miami defeated Miami (Ohio) 38-3 in its season opener last week. Texas A&M won its season opener 52-10 versus New Mexico. Texas A&M defeated Miami 17-9 at Kyle Field in College Station in 2022.

Saturday is the biggest non-conference home game for the Miami football team since a 41-8 win versus Notre Dame in 2017. Although Miami is unranked entering the game versus Texas A&M, the Hurricanes and Aggies are one of the most intruiging contests on a day full of marque non-conference matchups.

Saturday is the fifth meeting between Miami and Texas A&M. Each team has previously won twice. This is the first time Miami is hosting Texas A&M since a 34-17 win versus the Aggies in 2007. Miami swept the home and home in 2008. Texas A&M defeated Miami 70-14 in the programs’ first meeting in 1944.

Miami and Texas A&M had significant changes during the 2023 offseason. The Hurricanes have 41 new players and seven new assistant coaches. Texas A&M signed 19 players in their 2023 class, added 15 transfers to its roster and added former Arkansas and Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino as offensive coordinator.
