Tyler Van Dyke set a career-high with five touchdown passes and Jacolby George became the fifth Miami Hurricanes receiver with three TD receptions in the same game in the 48-33 win over Texas A&M on Saturday. Kamren Kinchens was carted off the field late in the game. Mario Cristobal stated he expects Kinchens to be fine.

Van Dyke eclipsed his career high in TD passes which he previously set in a game with four versus Florida State and North Carolina State in 2021. Xavier Restrepo had his second career 100-yard game and set a career-high with 126 yards on six receptions. It was a record-setting day for several Miami Hurricanes.

Inside the U had extensive coverage of the Miami win. A pair of articles highlighted the five takeaways on the Miami offense and defense following the win over Texas A&M. The offense was highlighted by Van Dyke outperforming Texas A&M QB Conner Weigman. Defensively, the defense deserved a ton of credit.

Kinchens wasn’t the only significant injury for Miami on Saturday. Nick Schultz of On3 wrote about Miami losing defensive linemen Branson Deen and Akheem Mesidor in the first half. Alex Donno reported during the Miami postgame show that running back Mark Fletcher left in the first half an did not have a carry the rest of the game.

Tom Fornelli of CBS Sports gave the national reaction of the “Miami vs. Texas A&M score, takeaways: Tyler Van Dyke’s five TDs fuel Canes comeback as Aggies remain a mess.” Fornelli said “Miami was more dominant than the score suggests…,…but The U ain’t ‘back’ … yet and We saw the Tyler Van Dyke of 2021 again.
