Cornerback Jaden Davis, guard Anez Cooper, quarterback Tyler Van Dyke and wide receiver Jacolby George were the Miami Hurricanes football players who spoke to the media on Tuesday after earning ACC Players of the Week awards on Monday. Miami is preparing to play Bethune-Cookman on Thursday.

Davis, George and Van Dyke had career games versus Texas A&M. Cooper was named the  Outland Trophy National Player of the Week on Tuesday. Cooper was the top-graded Miami offensive lineman versus Texas A&M. The preseason watch list for the Heisman Trophy did not include Cooper.

David Lake of Inside the U took another look at Inside The Numbers: A closer look at QB Tyler Van Dyke’s career game vs. Texas A&M.”  Van Dyke set a career-high with five touchdown passes while completing 21 passes in 30 attempts for 374 yards. Van Dyke completed TD passes to three different receivers.

Five-star 2025 Miami Central defensive lineman Armando Blount named a top five of Florida State, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma State and USC. Florida has the lead with a projected 36.9 percent chance for a commitment from Blount. Miami is listed as second for Blount with a 27.0 percent chance for a commitment.

Jerry Palm of CBS Sports projects the Miami Hurricanes to play in the Gator against Mississippi and Lane Kiffin. Palm projects Florida State as the fourth seed in the College Football Playoff versus Georgia. North Carolina and Ohio State are the projected Orange Bowl participants by Palm.
