The Miami football program has had a big week in recruiting. Five-star defensive lineman Aydin Breland named Miami in his top three programs. Miami received a commitment from four-star 2025 wide receiver Waden Charles on Sunday and five-star DL Armondo Blount joined the class on Thursday.

Breland is the 35th prospect, sixth DL and third player in California out of Santa Ana Mater Dei in the 247 Sports composite rankings. No 247 Sports crystal balls logged for Breland. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine projects Georgia with a 26.7 percent chance for a Breland commitment, Oregon at 20.1 percent and Miami at 14.4.

Georgia, Miami, Oregon and Texas A&M received official visits from Breland in June. Greg Biggins of 247 Sports reported that Breland does not have a timeline regarding his decision, but he could have a better idea following a visit to Georgia this weekend. Per On3, the visit to Georgia this weekend is the only one Breland has scheduled.

Charles is the 230th prospect, 13th athlete and 33rd player in Florida in the 2025 class out of Palm Beach Central. Per his On3 profile, Charles chose Miami primarily over Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Florida State and LSU. All of the above programs plus Texas A&M have received visits from Charles.

Blount is the third 2025 Miami football commit following three-star quarterback Luke Nickel and Charles. Blount is the fifth-ranked prospect, second DL and second player in Florida in the 2025 Class according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. Miami will have three straight classes with five-star recruits.

The Hurricanes signed five-star offensive tackles Francis Mauigoa and Samson Okunlola in the 2023 class. Five-star WR Joshisa Trader is committed to Miami in the 2024 class. Defensive tackle Leonard Taylor and safety James Williams were five-star Miami signees in the 2021 class.
