The Miami football team hopes to win its fifth straight game to start the 2023 season when they host 2-3 Georgia Tech on Saturday night. Miami is coming off of its bye week. Georgia Tech was upset 38-27 by Bowling Green in Atlanta last week. Miami has won the last two games versus Georgia Tech.

Miami moved up to 17th in the national polls this week. Georgia Tech has an elite offense that should challenge Miami defensively. The Yellow Jackets are 19th nationally averaging 467.4 total yards per game. Miami is seventh in total offense averaging 519.0 yards per game. The game could be high-scoring.

Miami has scored at least 38 points in all four games. Georgia Tech has over 400 yards in four of its five games. Georgia Tech had 380 yards total yards in a 30-16 win at Wake Forest two weeks ago. Miami has generated over 450 yards of offense in all four games. Turnovers have been big in Georgia Tech games in 2023.

Georgia Tech has a negative four turnover margin in losses and is plus three in its two wins. The Yellow Jackets also rank 115th nationally with a 73.91 percent conversion rate in the red zone. The Yellow Jackets are 87th with a 56.52 touchdown rate in the red zone. Miami might need a bend but don’t break defense versus Georgia Tech.
