The Miami Hurricanes football team has a chance to put the loss to Georgia Tech behind them on Saturday at North Carolina. Miami at North Carolina is the ABC Primetime Game of the Week with a 7:30 ET kickoff. All the websites that cover Miami wrote about the Hurricanes preparing for North Carolina on Saturday.

Susan Miller Degnan of the Miami Herald wrote that the “Cure for a Hurricanes hangover: Beat undefeated No. 12 UNC, led by Heisman contender.”  North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye is the Heisman candidate Miller Degnan referenced. Miller Degnan wrote an extensive preview of what to expect on Saturday.

David Lake of Inside the U named QB Tyler Van Dyke, running back Henry Parrish, defensive tackle Leonard Taylor, nickel cornerback Te’Cory Couch and defensive back Kamren Kinchens as theFive Miami players that need to step up this week.” All five players had subpar games or moments versus North Carolina.

Alex Donno asked “Can The Miami Hurricanes Exploit These Matchups Against North Carolina Tar Heels?” on his Locked on Canes podcast on Thursday. Donno had on Locked on Tar Heels host Isaac Schade to discuss the Miami Hurricanes at North Carolina game on Saturday night.

Gaby Urruita of Inside the U wrote “A trio of Miami commits see surge in 247Sports Rankings update.” Edge rusher Marquise Lightfoot, safety Zaquan Patterson and wide receiver Ny Carr are all now in the 247 Sports top 70 prospects in the 2024 class and with WR Joshisa Trader the highest ranked Miami commits.

Chip Patterson of CBS Sports gave the Miami Hurricanes football team a B in his midseason ACC Grades. Patterson stated the 4-0 start by Miami should be graded as a whole and not solely on the late game miscues in the loss to Georgia Tech last week. Only four ACC teams received higher grades than Miami.
