The Miami football team will attempt to overcome their shocking loss to Georgia Tech when they travel to Chapel Hill to play North Carolina on Saturday. Miami has lost the last four games to North Carolina. The Tar Heels are 5-0 for only the fourth time in program history. Miami has had its best start since 2020.

Miami fell eight spots to 25th in the Associated Press Top 25 and out of the USA Today Coaches Poll this week. Following the devastating loss to Georgia Tech last week there has been a lot of speculation on how will Miami come out versus North Carolina. The Tar Heels are 12th in both week seven polls.

Miami and North Carolina feature the two best offenses in the ACC. The Hurricanes lead the ACC averaging 505.8 and the Tar Heels are second posting 500.0 YPG. North Carolina has played a much more challenging schedule. The Tar Heels have played four games versus Power Five programs and Appalachian State.

Miami is second in the ACC averaging 39.0 points per game and North Carolina is third averaging 36.6 PPG. Miami is second in the ACC allowing 14.6 PPG. North Carolina is fourth in the ACC allowing 19.0 PPG. A high-scoring game on Saturday seems likely. The last two Miami-North Carolina games have had a lot of offense.
