Clemson at Miami football: full injury report
Clemson has a far more extensive injury report entering their game with the Miami football team than the Hurricanes according to Covers.Com. Clemson and Miami are both expected to have key players back from injury on Saturday. Miami should enter the game versus Clemson the healthiest it has been this season.
Miami tight end Elijah Arroyo could see his most extensive playing time for the first time in over a year. Arroyo played limited snaps last week. The appearance by Arroyo against North Carolina was his first since suffering a torn ACL in the fourth game of the 2022 season. Arroyo would provide Miami with another receiving threat.
Covers.Com only lists running back Mark Fletcher and offensive tackle Samson Okunlola on their injury report for Miami. Fletcher is a couple of weeks away from returning per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. Okunlola suffered a season-ending injury. Miami has enough depth at those positions to absorb their losses.
There are no specific reports on when starting edge rusher Akheem Mesidor will be ready to return to the Miami football team. Mesidor suffered a foot injury earlier this season. True freshman Rueben Bain has utilized the opportunity with Mesidor out to become Miami’s most productive defensive lineman.
Clemson has eight players on the Covers.Com injury list. Cornerback Nate Wiggins is the most important Clemson player on the injury list. Wiggins is expected back after missing time with a knee injury before Clemson had a bye last week. Wiggins has been a shutdown CB for Clemson this season.
Cornerback Sheridan Jones, running back Jay Haynes and wide receiver Antonio Williams are all listed as questionable. Jones has 13 tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass breakup this season. Haynes has six receptions for 35 yards and one TD and two receptions for 20 yards and a TD.
Williams is one of seven players on Clemson with double-digit receptions. Williams has 15 receptions for 145 yards and two TDs this season. Clemson has the depth at WR to absorb Williams potentially not playing on Saturday night versus Miami. The injury report will be updated closer to game time.
