Miami is 29th in the Associated Press Poll and 27th in the USA Today Coaches Poll. The Hurricanes are 5-2 after the win over the Tigers.
Miami received 12 points in the Associated Press Top 25. Following its week seven loss to North Carolina, the Miami football team was tied for 35th in the AP poll with one point. Miami has been ranked as high as 17th in the poll that was released on October 1. The Hurricanes were one of the biggest movers in the week 9 polls.
Miami received 27 points to rank 27th in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Miami received 12 points in the week eight polls to tie for 33rd nationally. The Hurricanes highest ranking in the AP Top 25 was 17th in the October 1 poll. Miami has received votes in both polls every week this season.
Miami is the fifth-highest-ranked team in the ACC in the Associated Press poll. Florida State is fourth, North Carolina 17th, Louisville 18th and Duke 20th. Florida State stayed fourth following their 38-20 win over Duke. The Blue Devils fell four spots. North Carolina dropped seven spots after a 31-27 loss to 1-5 Virginia.
In the USA Today Coaches Poll, Florida State, North Carolina and Louisville are in the same positions. Duke is 21st in the USA Today Coaches Poll. No other ACC teams received votes in the AP Poll. Clemson is 42nd in the USA Today Poll receiving one point. Miami plays Florida State on November 11 and Louisville on November 18.
Before playing at Florida State and hosting Louisville, Virginia is at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday and Miami plays at North Carolina State on November 4. Miami will finish the regular season on November 24 at Boston College. Miami is favored to win every remaining game except Florida State by the ESPN Football Power Index.
