Defensive linemen Rueben Bain and Branson Deen and offensive linemen Javion Cohen and Matt Lee met with Miami Hurricanes media members on Tuesday. Barry Jackson examined “How ESPN’s Kiper rates UM’s top talent. And Canes looking for more defensive tackle help.” 

Bain was named the ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week on Monday. Cohen and Lee were named to Pro Football Focus to their team of the week and Miami earned the OL of the week. Deen was a key contributor in the Miami Hurricanes win over Virginia on Saturday with two sacks. All four players spoke for over five minutes.

Cohen, safety Kamren Kinchens, Lee and defensive tackle Leonard Taylor are all ranked in the top five at their positions by ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. per Jackson. Jackson discussed the play of the four highly-rated draft-eligible Hurricanes. Miami is still looking for DTs in the 2024 class and Jackson examined their class.

Canes County publisher Marcus Benjamin wrote about the Bowl Projections: Miami still on track to play SEC school.” Benjamin reported on Miami Bowl projections from several sites. Two of the projections predict Miami will play LSU and one has the Hurricanes matching up with Tennessee in the postseason.
