Florida State moved from a 13.5-point favorite to 14.5 likely because the Miami football team is starting Emory Williams at quarterback over Tyler Van Dyke. Miami sideline reporter Josh Darrow stated on the pregame show that Hurricanes’ cornerback Darryl Porter Jr. was in street clothes during pregame warmups.

Florida State opened earlier this week as a 14.0-point favorite. The line moved to 13.5 in favor of the Miami football team earlier this week. Earlier Saturday morning the line moved to Florida State as a 14.5-point favorite likely due to Williams starting. The line moved before reports about Williams starting were announced.

Porter Jr. suffered what was reported to be an ankle injury in the 20-6 Miami loss to North Carolina State last week. Jaden Davis who is the other Miami starting outside CB also missed significant time last week versus North Carolina State and was participating in pregame warmups per Darrow.

Miami is also expected to be completely healthy at running back versus Florida State. Expect a conservative game plan by Miami offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson versus Florida State. Having Ajay Allen, Don Chaney Jr., Mark Fletcher and Henry Parrish healthy versus Florida State is a big boost for Miami.

The total for Miami at Florida State has moved down a point to 49.5 with Williams starting. Other injuries to monitor for Miami are WR Ray-Ray Joseph who is listed as probable and tight end Elijah Arroyo who is questionable. Florida State WRs Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson will play on Saturday per Pete Thamel of ESPN.

Fletcher will likely start for Miami. Fletcher had 23 carries for 115 yards last week at North Carolina State. Allen, Chaney and Parrish have all had games this season leading Miami in rushing. Miami will need to establish the run with Williams starting. Miami has to control the clock and eliminate or minimize turnovers.
