Director Of Recruiting for 247 Sports Steve “Wiltfong Whiparound: Flips, flips and more potential flips” discussed blue chip wide receivers Chance Robinson from St. Thomas Aquinas and Jeremiah Smith of Chaminade-Madonna. Robinson is currently committed to the Miami football program but has visited elsewhere.

Ny Carr, Robinson and Joshisa Trader provide Miami with three blue-chip WRs in the 2024 class. Robinson committed to Miami in April. Since committing to Miami Robinson has visited the Hurricanes three times. That includes his official visit in June. On3 still projects Miami with an 84.4 percent chance for a Robinson commitment.

Smith committed to Ohio State in December. Miami has received three visits from Smith since he committed to Ohio State. Smith took his official visit to Miami in June. Flipping Smith is a longshot according to Wiltfong. The combination of Carr, Robinson and Trader would give Miami one of the best 2024 WR classes.

Carr, Trader and Robinson are the third, fourth and sixth highest-ranked commits in the 2024 Miami football class. Trader committed to the Miami football program in July and Carr in October. Smith is the highest-ranked player in the 2024 Class. Wiltfong discussed the recruitments of Robinson and Smith.

"“The latest on top-ranked prospect Jeremiah Smith. The long-time Ohio State commit was back at Florida State over the weekend and the Seminoles remain the biggest threat to flip the five-star from Chaminade-Madonna (Fla.). I’m hearing all is still good on the Ohio State front.Smith is still in regular communication with Brian Hartline and the Buckeyes staff and saying the right things…Miami and Florida are doing what they can in the Smith sweepstakes as well but Ohio State still hanging on, FSU continuing to look like the biggest threat as of today.Miami also working to hang on to a prized pass catcherTalking to several sources, I give Miami the edge in holding on to Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas Top247 receiver Chance Robinson, who has taken official visits the last two weekends to Ole Miss and Ohio State. The Buckeyes are the threat to the Hurricanes and could still get it done, but as of right now I like where Miami stands.  A final decision is expected next Monday.”"

Robinson has 32 receptions for 459 yards and 13 TDs this season. Robinson has already set a career-high in receptions and is on pace for his best season in receiving yards and TDs. Smith is putting up huge numbers with 66 receptions for 1,046 yards and 16 TDs this season playing opposite of Trader.

The 2023 Miami recruiting class with Carr, Robinson and Trader making up three of their top six currently ranks 11th. Carr, Robinson and Trader are all impact players who could have a chance to play for Miami as freshmen. Robinson and Trader are important potential signees for Miami as South Florida prospects.
