After Mario Cristobal and coordinators Shannon Dawson and Lance Guidry spoke to the media on Monday, cornerback Damari Brown, guard Anez Cooper, linebacker Wesley Bissainthe and wide receiver Jacolby George had their turns on Tuesday as the Miami Hurricanes football team prepares to play Louisville on Saturday.

The Miami Hurricanes have the difficult task of playing teams ranked in the top 10 of the College Football Playoff rankings in consecutive weeks. Florida State is ranked fourth and Louisville is 10th in the CFP rankings released Tuesday night. A win over Louisville would be the biggest for Miami this season.

Brown received the most significant playing time of his freshman season with 65 snaps per Gaby Urrutia of Inside the U. Miami started Brown and Jadais Richard at cornerback with Jaden Davis and Darryl Porter Jr. injured. Davis finished with one tackle. Porter Jr. did not play on Saturday at Florida State.

Cooper was part of a Miami offensive line that only allowed two sacks and paved the way for the Hurricanes to average 3.9 yards per carry. Cooper stated that the OL is focused on their jobs and that the struggles in the passing game do not affect them. Miami will be challenged by the ACC’s top-ranked defense on Saturday.

Bissainthe spoke to reporters after one of the best games of his Miami career. Bissainthe recorded five tackles, three tackles for loss one sack and a quarterback hit in the loss to Florida State. Asked about the playmakers on Louisville, Bissainthe spoke about running back Jawhar Jordan who has over 1,100 total yards this season.
