The Miami football team offered former Florida wide receiver Kham “Thai” Chiaokhiao Bowman. Bowman had seven receptions for 138 yards in 12 games in 2023. Bowman played in only two games, primarily on special teams in 2023. As a transfer from Independence C.C. in Kansas, Bowman was a three-star prospect.
Indiana transfer center Zach Carpenter will take his final visit to Miami on Friday before making a decision on Sunday per his mom Carrie on X (formerly known as Twitter). Carpenter is the 189th-ranked transfer and 17th interior OL in the 2024 portal.
After a redshirt season in 2022 as a true freshman, Riley had 48 tackles in eight games with two starts in 2023. Six of the eight games Riley played were versus Power Five opponents. Riley had a season had 12 tackles in a 38-14 loss at Florida. Riley would provide Miami with excellent length in the secondary at 6'2 and 202 pounds.
Former Tulane WR Chris Brazell was a Freshman All-American in 2023. At 6'5 and 195 pounds, Brazell will be one of the most sought after WRs in the transfer portal. The Miami football program is one of 38 teams who have offered Brazell. Brazell had 44 Receptions for 711 Yards & five TDs this season.
Gaby Urrutia of Inside the U reported that the Miami football program offered Marshall transfer edge rusher Elijah Alston. Alston had 45 tackles, 11.5 TFLs, six sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception that he returned for 85 yards, 16 QB hurries and two pass breakups.
Top 20 transfer WR Jahmal Banks posted to X on New Year's Eve that he received an offer from Miami. Banks would added needed depth for Miami at WR. Nebraska hosted Banks this weekend. Banks would have an opportunity with Miami to compete to be a starter.
Washington starting left guard Nate Kalepo is visiting the Miami football program this weekend. Kalepo has played in 38 games over the last three season. Kalepo started all 15 games for Washington in 2023 as the Huskies were the National Runner-Up.
Moore has three seasons of eligibility remaining. The path Miami takes at QB will influence who they sign through the transfer portal. If Miami wants to bring in someone experienced Howard, Rogers or Ward makes more sense. That would allow the younger Miami QBs time to develop. Otherwise, Moore could be the future Miami QB.
