Howard had his best season in 2024 for Kansas State. After sharing time as the starting QB for the Wildcats from 2020 through 2022, Howard played in all 12 games in 2023. Howard completed 61.3 percent of his passes for 2,643 yards, 24 TDs and 10 interceptions while running for 351 yards and nine scores.

Miami would add a true dual-threat QB with Howard. In four seasons at Kansas State Howard has completed 58.8 percent of his pass attempts for 5,786 yards, 48 TDs and 25 interceptions with 921 rushing yards and 19 scores. Howard would provide Miami offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson with more versatility.

Rogers is another traditional pro-style QB. After four seasons as the starter at Mississippi State, Rogers is third all-time in SEC history in passing yards behind former Heisman Trophy winners Joe Burrow and Chase Young. Rogers completed 69.3 percent of his passes for 12,315 yards, 94 TDs and 28 interceptions.

Dealing with injuries in 2023, Rogers played in only eight games completing 59.9 percent of his passes for 1,626 yards, 12 TDs and four interceptions. Rogers provides Miami with another QB who takes care of the ball. Rogers is probably fourth or fifth on the list of transfer QBs Miami is pursuing.
