3 Miami players named Pro Football Focus All-ACC Week 8

Three Arizona players were named to the Pro Football Focus All-ACC Week Eight team

Defensive lineman Rueben Bain and wide receivers Sam Brown and Xavier Restrepo were named by Pro Football Focus to the All-ACC Week Eight Team. Bain received an 82.8 grade from PFF on Saturday which ranked third among Miami players per David Lake of Inside the U.

Brown was fourth on Miami with an 81.4 grade and Restrepo had a 74.5 grade. Running back Damien Martinez led Miami with an 88.0 PFF grade on Saturday per Lake, quarterback Cam Ward was second with an 83.4 grade and defensive tackle Simeon Barrow was fifth with an 80.1 grade.

Bain had two tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss and a QB hit on Saturday per Lake. Bain received a 75.3 pass rushing grade and a 78.1 run-defense grade. Louisville finished with 342 passing yards on Saturday. Miami held Louisville to 106 rushing yards, had six tackles for loss, three sacks and forced one turnover.

Brown had three receptions on four targets for 125 yards and one touchdown with 88 yards after the catch. The TD was the second for Brown with Miami and he had 50 more yards than his previous high with the Hurricanes. Brown now has 24 receptions for 371 yards and two TDs this season.

Restrepo had seven receptions on nine targets for 101 yards with one TD and 42 yards after the catch. Restrepo leads the ACC with 686 receiving yards, fifth with 39 receptions and second with six TD receptions. With 13 receptions and 143 receiving yards, Restrepo will become the Miami career leader in both categories.

Barrow, Restrepo and Ward could all be honored by the ACC as the best in the conference at their positions during week eight. Ward had 319 passing yards and four TDs without an interception. Barrow had six tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack. 1.0 QB hit and a forced fumble Raul Aguirre recovered in the end zone for a TD.
