Defensive lineman Akheem Mesidor, linebacker Wesley Bissainthe and offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa, who are returning for Miami in 2025 and quarterback Carson Beck, who transferred in from Georgia, will represent the Hurricanes at ACC Kickoff on July 22 in Charlotte.
Beck, Mesidor and incoming LSU transfer C.J. Daniels are the most experienced players on the Miami roster, entering their sixth seasons. Beck spent his first five seasons with Georgia, leading the Bulldogs to a 24-3 record as a starter.
Mesidor is entering his fourth season with Miami after playing his first two years at West Virginia. Mesidor received a sixth season after playing his first year during Covid in 2020 and gaining a medical redshirt season with only four games played in 2023 due to injury.
Beck played in one game in 2020 and four in 2021 to keep his redshirt. As a sophomore in 2022, Beck received limited playing time in seven games. Beck became a starter in 2023 after Stetson Bennett graduated and played in 27 games in the last two seasons.

Bissainthe is entering his fourth season with Miami. As a true freshman in 2022, Bissainthe played in 12 games with three starts. Bissainthe has played in all 26 Miami games with 23 starts in the last two seasons. Bissainthe led the returnees for Miami in 2025 with 59 tackles in 2024.
Mauigoa was selected to the Walter Camp Preseason All-America First Team on Thursday. In 2024, Mauigoa earned second-team All-ACC and he was a 2023 Freshman All-American. The 2023 season will almost certainly be the last for Mauigoa with Miami as a projected 2026 first-round NFL Draft pick.
Beck, Bissainthe, Mauigoa and Mesidor will be key players and leaders for Miami in 2025. They provide a good mix of returnees who know the Miami culture and can project that at ACC Kickoff and Beck, who will frequently be the go-to player for the media as a high-profile transfer and the QB.
